WordPress told me today that it has been 10 years since I created this blog.
Wow! It literally just feels like yesterday that I created this blog on a whim (like I created many others before) and wrote about Calvin and his beanie. But apparently all that was a while ago and I really am a decade older than I was the time I wrote that post. Funnily enough, no part of me feels like I should be THAT old (and I thank the cosmos for allowing me that privilege).
In the 10 year interval, I have read books, climbed mountains, walked across countries, changed jobs, laughed, cried, almost deleted it all, suffered from allergies, drove cars, rode bicycles, changed more jobs, wrote some and then wrote a lot, formed opinions, clicked a lot of photographs, broke stuff, fixed stuff, learned fragments of other things, learnt to understand what I liked and what I didn’t, changed hairstyles, slouched, read some more, watched birds and basically just do the stuff that almost everyone else does in life.
My mother and sister have to feature in my blogverse hall of fame for they have loyally read and commented on every one of the close to 1000 posts I have churned out. Thanks guys.
A few other friends and reviewers have joined along the way and I’m truly thankful to everyone who pauses by to register a like or leave a comment. I really appreciate it!
And thank you to wordpress who have kept their blogging platform free and accessible for well over a decade.
Here’s to the next 10 years!
