Splendid Sunday Sunsets

Sunsets and sunrises are the most overlooked things in the world  (only next to the vision of a beautiful moon hanging in the sky). Caught up in our everyday routines, we hardly ever look up to see Nature at her splendid best.

Also a few days ago, I was made fun of at work because I used the word ‘splendid’ which apparently is not a thing anymore. It was harmless fun but I’ve resolved to make maximum use of splendid anywhere and everywhere I can so I can single handedly resurrect splendid to its erstwhile exalted status in the dictionary.

I think all our lives can do with a bit more splendid, don’t you agree?

Sunset Key West
Sun dropping off the horizon at Key West, Florida in late 2012. One of the more memorable sunsets I’ve seen
Sunset Ramadan Dubai
I remember this sunset at a beach in Dubai during the holy month of Ramadan. There were a couple of families waiting on the beach for the sun to go down so they could start with their Iftar meals to break their day long fast

I’m a great sunrise and sunset lover. In fact, I go hunting for the sunrise pictures. I can understand what you are trying to convey, Sukanya!
