Weekly Photo Challenge: Circle, Moonrise over Jerash

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
Moonrise over Jerash in Jordan

We had spent a long day going through the ancient city of Jerash and admiring the Roman ruins in the town. We were having our meal at a restaurant that overlooked one of the hills of the town. Suddenly the moon rose up from behind the hill (my sister was the one who spotted it first). This was followed by a frantic few minutes clicking the moon with my camera.

The first Weekly Photo Challenge theme of this year is Circle. I thought that nothing could be more apt than the moon- the heavenly object at which mankind and every sentient being in this planet before him has looked up.

A little while later the moon rose further and then it looked like a lollipop or a balloon that was suspended over the city.

      Thanks arv!

  2. Your second image is fantastic image. The moon is like a balloon hovering over the pointed antennae of the tower. The tension works well.
