Perfect for Souvenirs- Home Trotter, Pondicherry

I’m not very familiar with Pondicherry despite the fact that it is hardly a few hours drive from where I live. The one time I actually spent a couple of days at the French quarter by the beach I actually liked the feel of the city. One of the more interesting shops I discovered was ‘Home Trotter’ on Rue Aurobindo. They had a really eclectic collection of gifts and furniture- everything from lights to chairs to bags and things like that. When looking at it from the outside we actually wondered if the place would be expensive but it turned out to be quite reasonable. I would highly recommend a visit to Home Trotter- especially if you’re looking to pick up a few quirky souvenirs from your visit to Pondicherry.

We picked up a bunch of these really cool old world lamp styled candle holders.

Home Trotter seems to have interesting lampshades, hand-painted perhaps?

I don’t think all the lampshades were hand painted but I liked their motifs
