Weekly Photo Challenge: Forces of Nature- The Mist over Lake Yamanaka

Mist over Lake Yamanaka just before sunrise
Mist over Lake Yamanaka just before sunrise

Lake Yamanaka is one of the five lakes that are located around Mt Fuji in Japan. I spent a night in Yamanakako in a hotel that had magnificent views over Lake Yamanaka and Mt Fuji. As I was waiting to look at the effect that sunrise would have on Mt Fuji I noticed a sea of mist that crept over the lake and the woods nearby.

This post was in response to the Weekly Photo Challenge: Forces of Nature.

It was indeed serene- you realise that mist doesn’t make noise as it crawls over surfaces
