Weekly Photo Challenge: Walls of Illusion- Street art at Kochi, Biennale City

In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Wall.”

At first you see the flower on the wall. Great you think. You look closer and then what you see doesn’t seem quite so floral. It is in fact almost a maze- stairs going up to different levels that aren’t quite connected. Humans at various levels looking puzzled almost dazed. Walls, corridors, people all meshed up against each other- with nothing making sense- is this a reflection on our state of living these days?

Kochi in Kerala, India is the venue of the Kochi Muziris Biennale this year (it closes in just about 15 days so do visit if you haven’t done so already). It is almost as if the entire city erupts with art in sync with the Biennale. I don’t know who the artist who executed this painting was- but it sure is a masterpiece (and so is the one below- right next to it).

What an awesome painting, so serene to look at but full of chaos when you examine it close. Brilliant artwork and you have done a fine job of capturing its mood. Thanks for sharing!
