Hidden in the Mountains

I photographed this gompa en-route from Thikse Gompa to Pangong Lake. I was struck by this heap of individual structures all piled up on the hill in different levels. A tale of white on grey…

    I like how the city and the rock contrasts with the fields below. You better love stairs when you live there. I guess the city has no fitness studio.

      The fields below are apparently a very new trend. But it is true that the Ladakhis are totally fit having grown up in such a landscape- this is no place for soft city folk like me
